Historic Blakeley State Park

Located on the Tensaw River delta in Baldwin
County Alabama, the 2,000 acre Historic Blakeley State Park features archaeological
sites of Indian villages, an early French plantation, the 1813 town of Blakeley
which served as Baldwin County's first county seat, and extensive earthworks on
which the last battle of the Civil War was fought April 9, 1865. In addition to
it's multiple historic sites, Historic Blakeley State Park offers a variety of
recreational opportunities including, hiking,
biking, horseback
riding and 2 campgrounds (Apalachee
Campground and Harper
Campground). |

| To reach Historic Blakeley State
Park from I-10, travel north along US 98 to US 31 and turn right. Continue
along US31 to Highway 225 and turn left. Travel 4.5 miles along Highway
225 to the park on the left.
From I-65, travel south along Highway for 15 miles to the park, which
is on the right. |
