Franklin County Florida Paddle Trails
Ochlockonee River (Lower) Canoe Trail
|
|
Officially designated as part of Florida's Statewide System of
Greenways and Trails, the 65.0 mile long Ochlockonee River (Lower) Canoe Trail
flows through the Panhandle of Florida. The water level along the trail varies
with rainfall and by the release of water from the dam. During flood seasons the
trail may be swift and sometimes difficult. During a drought, sandbars and snags
can mean many pullovers or portages.
