Jefferson County Florida Paddle Trails
Wacissa River Canoe Trail

Officially designated as part of Florida's Statewide System of
Greenways and Trails, the clear water, fairly swift 14 mile long Wacissa River Canoe Trail
has several tributaries which loop back to the main channel and some which melt
away into the swamp. The trail ends several hundred yards upstream on the
Aucilla River at Nutall Rise Landing.
Some of the access points include:

Wacissa Springs; From the town of Wacissa, take SR 59 south.
When SR 59 turns west, continue straight ahead to the park.

Goose Pasture Recreation Area; From the town of Wacissa,
take SR 59 fourteen miles south to US 98. Turn left (east) onto US 98 for
about 8.5 miles to the third road on the north side of US 98 after crossing
the Aucilla River. Take this road north to Goose Pasture.

Nutall Rise Landing; Same as to Goose Pasture, except after
crossing the Aucilla, turn left (north) onto first graded road
