Located on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain between
Slidell and Mandeville Louisiana, the 17,094 acre Big Branch Marsh
National Wildlife Refuge offers the opportunity for hiking, biking,
canoeing, wildlife observation/photography, fishing and hunting.
To reach Big Branch Marsh NWR travel south along Hwy 434
from I-12 in Lacombe Louisiana to the Lake, or turn east off Hwy 434 onto
Hwy 190 and travel 2.5 miles to Transmitter Road. Turn south onto
Transmitter Road and continue to Bayou Paquet Road which runs through the
Refuge. |
