Mackay Island National Wildlife Refuge

The 1.0 mile Mackay Island Road is open year round for Biking, and wildlife observation.

Directions:

To reach Mackay Island National Wildlife Refuge

From the north by highway, follow Princess Anne Road 11 miles south of Pungo, VA (near Chesapeake, VA).

From the south take the Knotts Island Ferry from Currituck Courthouse on US168 and follow SR615 north. The refuge office is located on SR615.
