With its access located at Day's Landing, Ball Creek is the terminus for the Bay River South Shore Kayak Trail, which begins at the Town of Bayboro's Waterfront Park. Ball Creek can also be used by canoeist who desire the more protected waters of a sheltered waterway. Ball Creek and its tributaries can offer a full day of paddling and exploration. Beginning at Day's Landing, located off SR1324 in the community of Florence, the paddler can venture upstream to the headwaters of the creek. Paddling downstream the paddler can explore Simpson Creek (0.9 mi.), Cabin Creek and Pasture Creek (0.8 mi.). 

The headwaters of Ball Creek are located approximately 0.5 miles from Day's Landing and the mouth of Ball Creek is approximately 1.0 mile from Day's Landing. By exploring the adjacent tributaries along Ball Creek the paddler can enjoy several miles of protected waterways.
