Located 2 miles north of Virginia Beach Virginia, within Fort Story Military Reservation, the 90' Old Cape Henry Lighthouse was first lit in 1792 and deactivated in 1881. Constructed with Sandstone and brick, the octagonal shaped Old Cape Henry Lighthouse is covered with exposed sandstone and is open to the public.
