Located north of the Back Bay Wildlife Refuge next to the
Atlantic Ocean at 3820 S Sandpiper Road, the 144 acre Little Island Park offers
a 775 foot beach north of the fishing pier for surfing and a 2,000 foot beach
for swimming and fishing south of the pier. In addition to the beaches and
fishing pier, Little Island Park offers lighted tennis courts, basketball
courts, picnic shelters, parking (pay) and restrooms. Located
along the western border of Little Island Park is Back Bay, a brackish lake
which provides fishing and crabbing opportunities. |
