Skidaway Island State
Park
The Sandpiper Nature Trail is about 1.0 miles long. This
accessible trail is easily hiked, with a boardwalk which extends out into the
marsh. The Sandpiper Nature trail is located in the 588 acre Skidaway Island
State Park.
Directions:
Skidaway Island State Park is located 6.0 miles southeast of
Savannah on the Diamond Causeway on Skidaway Island. Exit I-95 at exit 16/94 and
drive 12 miles toward Savannah. Turn right onto Montgomery Cross Road and
continue 1.4 miles to Whitfield Avenue. Turn right onto Whitfield Avenue which
becomes Diamond Causeway, continue 5.0 miles to the park entrance. |
